Planning Commissioner's Needed!
The Planning Commission acts in an advisory capacity to the City Council on land-use and development issues. Responsibilities of the Planning Commission include:
- Interprets, administers, and enforces the provisions of the City's Zoning Ordinance and other land use regulations, in such a way as to carry out the intent and purpose of the General Plan as interpreted on the official Zoning Map;
- Acts on Variances from the provisions of Title 5 regarding the development of land, construction, enlargement or alteration of any building or structure;
- Acts on Use Permits, Variances, and Parcel Maps. It revokes Use Permits as necessary; provides interpretations of zoning ordinance;
- Provides recommendations to the City Council on Site Plan & Design Reviews, Rezonings, Tentative Maps, Development Agreements and General Plan Amendments.
The Planning Commission meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. Planning Commission meetings are held at the City Council Chambers, 1416 C Street, Livingston, CA 95334.
