The Human Resources and Risk Management Division is responsible for all personnel functions including recruitment, selection, classification, compensation, labor relations, and training development.  This division administers the City’s workers’ compensation program, short-term disability program, long-term disability program, employee health insurance program, and deferred compensation and retirement programs for the City.  This division is responsible to develop and recommend appropriate personnel policies and guidelines to the City Manager and City Council.

This division also coordinates the City’s risk management program and is responsible for the management of the City’s liability insurance, property insurance and other insurance programs.  The Administration Division provides legal advice to the staff, City Manager and City Council and provides oversight and coordination for all claims and lawsuits.
