4th of July Festivities

July Festival Poster 2026

The United States will celebrate its 250th anniversary (Semiquincentennial) on July 4, 2026, marking 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

The Event Starts at 5pm and ends at 10pm.

The City of LIvingston will host this celebration with a number of family oriented activities, contests,  live music, cultural performances, kidzone that will include a waterslide, petting zoo and arts n crafts. There wil be an art exhibit of local artists with what "America Means to Me" as the theme. The exhibit will be on display in the Walnut Child Care Center. The Festivities will end with a fireworks show! The event is free however to support our local Police Explorer program parking is $5.

Art Contest
What America Means to Me Art Contest

A few items that the artists will need to abide by:

All Art must represent what America Means to the Artist

This is an Open Art Contest so Entries may include 2D Art, photography, Digital Art, Collage

The contest deadline is June 1, 2026. 

All Items will be on exhibit at the July Festival on the 4th of July at the Max Foster Sports Complex July 4th from 6-9pm.

All Work is to be 11x14 portrait for uniformity in the Exhibit. 

Each Student will need to label the back of their work with their Name, School, Grade, Contact phone number and the title of their Art Entry.

Each artist is limited to one entry. 

There are 3 age divisions:

Junior Artists (ages 8-12)

Teen Artists (13-18)

Adult Artists (18+)

Each division will have a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes

Judging is based on  creativity, theme, technical skill and overall impact.
